We're searching for an Operations Manager to add to our team

The Role

To provide support to the CEO and Managing Director to deliver their vision by being responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight of a growing business. To ensure the company values are fully embedded in all the business activities.

This role would particularly suit someone with previous experience in practice management and who has the confidence, skill set and interest in getting involved with all aspects of a business that has an explicit focus on putting client outcomes first.

You will be highly organised, have real attention to detail and work well under pressure. You will work as part of a team, where collaboration and teamwork are central to all that they do. Travel to all three office locations - Suffolk, Southampton, and London - is required.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Leadership

  • Assist the CEO and Managing Director to ensure the company’s core values are fully embedded in all business activities.
  • Attend monthly management committee meetings.
  • Co-ordination of the quarterly team meetings
  • Facilitate regular team communication to ensure the team is kept well-informed and engaged with the business.
  • To hold 1:1 quarterly review meetings with support team members to ensure they are on track to meet their OKRs.
  • To build excellent relationships with key introducers and third parties

Operations

  • Heading up and overseeing the operational development of the business including employee recruitment and retention, training and development and continual improvement
  • Co-ordinate the successful delivery of a range of projects from set-up to delivery, in line with agreed deadlines and budgets.
  • Manage the Suffolk office maintenance and office supplies equipment.
  • To ensure that all business activities are in line with the FCA requirements; marketing material is approved by financial promotions.
  • To assist with the renewal of business insurance, and policies.
  • identify operational problems and work with the team to resolve them in a quick and timely manner.
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed in a timely and efficient manner as per internal company standards.

Human Resources

  • Oversee recruitment of new staff and terminations/resignations of existing staff.
  • Oversee the onboarding, induction, and training of all new employees.
  • to assist with the implementation of the employee benefits package.
  • to maintain accurate staff holiday and absence registers.
  • to promote healthy working conditions and staff wellbeing.
  • To complete DBS and Reference applications/checks
  • Manage the team and their workload to achieve set business goals.
  • Develop and regularly review the support team OKRs.
  • Ensure any performance issues are addressed promptly and effectively

IT

  • Manage all IT services and systems.
  • Liaise with external IT companies.
  • ensuring data security is upheld by all team members.
  • Keep an up-to-date asset register.

Marketing

  • to assist with marketing activities with the support of an external consultant.
  • to organise and coordinate client events, team days and other events.
  • to co-ordinate quarterly meetings with key introducers

Qualifications/Experience

  • operational management experience within a financial services business, preferably wealth management.
  • Strong IT skills, as we are a technology-focused business.

The Benefits

  • Salary range £40,000 – £60,000 depending upon experience.
